Jennifer Ruiz focuses on complex immigration cases, whether in court or before USCIS.  Jennifer graduated from the University of Miami School of Law on a full scholarship. While there, she was Moot Court Board President and represented the school in numerous litigation skills competitions. Before practicing immigration law, Jennifer prosecuted cases for Brevard County, Florida as an Assistant State Attorney. She then went on to serve as Assistant General Counsel with UMWA Health and Retirement Funds in Washington D.C., where she handled complex litigation cases in federal court throughout the northeastern United States, represented management in negotiating a collective bargaining agreement with its unionized employees and also represented management in employment and arbitration matters.

As the daughter of immigrants who fled Cuba when Castro came to power, and the adoptive mother to two baby girls from Guatemala, Jennifer has a unique understanding of the hardships an immigrant suffers in the United States.  These experiences inspire her to focus her legal abilities to help others through the complex immigration process.  She is dedicated and tenacious in representing clients who are detained, in removal proceedings, or face a difficult case with USCIS. While other attorneys  may submit documents to USCIS and the immigration courts in support of their cases, Jennifer goes one step further and persuades USCIS and the immigration courts to grant cases by writing convincing briefs and advocating for her clients.  She believes in“fighting until we win”, and brings all her years of litigation and negotiation experience to help her clients succeed.  Jennifer is fluent in Spanish and is licensed in Florida, Washington DC, and Wisconsin.
